The lake is calling

The lake is your playground

Lake Malawi is one of Africa's great wonders — and it's right on your doorstep. These activities are free or available through us.

Snorkeling

Lake Malawi holds 30% of the world's freshwater cichlid fish. Snorkel gear is provided free — just walk into the water from our beach and you'll see hundreds of species in vivid colour.

Paddle Boarding

Glide across the glassy surface of the lake on a stand-up paddle board. Free for all guests, any time. Beginners welcome — the calm bay makes it easy.

Kayaking

Explore the rocky coastline and hidden coves around Nkhata Bay by kayak. A peaceful way to see the lake from a different angle.

Swimming

The lake is warm, clear, and calm. Our private beach gives you a safe spot to swim away from boat traffic. Sunrise dips are highly recommended.
